Hola! Disculpe, mi espanol is malo!
Hi there,
My name is Trond and I am from Canada. My wife and I have driven our '87 Suzuki Samurai from the USA to Ushuaia. We are now on our way to Buenos Aires and the truck is experiencing vibrations in the drive train.
Does anyone know of a good mechanic in BA that could help us out? Hopefully one that speaks a little English. We'll be in BA in a week or two (late January).
Thank you for your help. If we get the truck fixed, we'd love to come join you for a club ride.
Ciao,
Trond

Hi Trond! Definitely go with WALCAR or the other option, both are great mechanics. Also let us know if you need help getting parts and etc.
That's a very interesting journey you are making, do you have a website or some photos to share? Maybe I am wrong but I think you are the "northernmost" member of this forum
Again let us know if we can be of any help. And Welcome to Argentina!

UPDATE
Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! Like every other Argentine I've met in the last couple of months, you folks are kind and helpful. Mi Gusto!
So it turns out the vibration we were feeling was a universal joint on the shaft connecting the engine to the transfer-case. The vibration got so bad we had to wear ear plugs on the highway. Unable to stand the noise any longer, we had it fixed in Comodoro Rivadavia. What a relief to drive in peace again. But I may have Walcar do some other work for me so thanks for the recommendation.
My wife and I got into BA last week and have rented an apartment for a month in San Telmo - cool area. I'm enjoying some time off from driving and I'm also trying to catch up on our blog. If you're interested in our journey, our blog is located at www.contactpictures.com
And here's a few shots of our '87 Suzuki Samurai, Yuki the Suzuki. The first was taken in Ecuador, the other two in Peru.

Thanks again,
